Do you have daughters?
Something odd that I have observed in working with men is that they are less comfortable being a father to daughters than to sons. I'm not sure why that is but they tend to treat daughters more delicately and tend to protect them instead of teaching them life's lessons.
On the other hand, with sons much more attention seems to be given to how to be tough, stand up for yourself, be independent, etc. Providing a good father example for daughters (just like sons) helps build self-esteem and confidence. It prepares them for a bruising real life world.
Think about whether you are parenting daughters differently from sons. Then ask yourself where might some changes be in order?

Give us the strength to properly parent our daughters and sons in a healthy way. Amen.
