The Small Things
As many of you know, I recently was incapacitated by a fall on the stairs which resulted in a double-quad rupture, which means that neither of my legs would work. I have been in the hospital or rehabilitation since August 18. Thankfully I am now recuperating at home but I must wear knee immobilizers till October 8, which seriously limits my mobility.
This experience has taught me the importance of being thankful for the small things in life - just the ability to get around, be productive and interact with others. It has also given me a lot of time to reflect and I will pass on my ideas about that later.
Take a moment now to lift up a prayer of thanksgiving for good health, friends and family who care for you and the other blessings that we so often take for granted. If you have had similar experiences, jot me a note and let me know about those experiences.
