It's All about Balance

In his book Man in the Mirror, Pat Morley talks about climbing the ladder of success only to find that his ladder was leaning against the wrong wall. The wall he should've been climbing was his own spiritual growth, he says.

I wonder sometimes whether we have our own priorities straight in this regard. A career is great and its rewards are many, but too many of us achieve success at the expense of family and relationships.

As the old saying goes, no one has ever said on their deathbed, "I wish I had stayed at the office more."
